Whole Lamb (Deposit)

$50.00
sold out

We raise a flock of St. Croix hair sheep here on our farm. They have been pastured their whole lives eating forage, browse, and hay. Our animals are happy, healthy, and drug-free. This deposit reserves your lamb to be processed on March 11th and delivered the following two weeks. We will reach out for cut sheets 1 week prior to processing and final payment will be made upon delivery.

Why Buy the Whole Animal Versus Individual Cuts?

  1. When you buy the whole animal, you save on the cost per pound. Cuts of lamb from the grocery store can easily exceed $20 / lb. We expect our packaged cuts to average around $TBD/ lb.

  2. You also gain the ability to select the cuts of meat you want instead of having to choose what happens to be on the shelf. See the cut sheet and pick your favorite cuts and thicknesses! We are happy to help if you need suggestions or guidance selecting your cuts.

  3. The biggest reason to buy meat from us however, is transparency. When you buy from us, you know: who is raising the animals, what goes into the animals, how they were cared for, and where it comes from. If you would like to see the animals for yourself, send us an email and we’ll make time to show off our beautiful, happy animals.

Cost Breakdown

We charge by the live weight of the animal because it is simple for us and our customers to understand. We estimate the lambs to have a live weight of around 90 lb by the processing time (December 2024). The $50 deposit will be applied to the total cost of the lamb. For a breakdown of the costs, see the example below.
